  They have a great location, but it's so cold in there. Not only temperature wise but also the food is tepid, the atmosphere is lacking and the service is hard to come by. For a chain restaurant I usually have a good experience at Smittys, but not at the one in the Southland Mall. They could have a little gold mine, too bad.....for all of us.

  I assume they're under staffed (it wasn't full by any means) or perhaps our waitstaff was just bad at her job. We sat a long time even though we were plainly ready to order (we were starved). Finally they take our order and then wait a long time again. The meals arrive and it's the wrong toast so they go away and eventually get back with my rye toast. It was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for a long time and when I tuck into my skillet it's obvious it had been too. Ugh. But the wait person is gone and we're starved. My kids' meals are fresh but mine is desiccated. I just ate it because I'm so hungry and I can't wait any more. It may appear that I'm being passive aggressive and maybe I am but I didn't tip because it was an unpleasant experience.

  Restaurant was clean service was fast but the food was poor quality for the price !
